Roots of Kin was born from my personal struggle with sensitive skin and the frustration of finding truly clean skincare. Too many products labeled “clean” were filled with harsh chemicals or lacked real results. I wanted something gentle yet effective—skincare that could support me through every stage of life.

Inspired by my multicultural roots, I chose time-tested ingredients cherished for generations—from the calming botanicals of Asia to the Nordic commitment to simplicity and design.

SENSITIVE-SAFE FORMULAS

Developed with sensitive and breakout-prone skin in mind. Our formulations are fragrance-free, essential oil-free, and use lightweight, non-comedogenic ingredients. Each product is designed to support the skin’s natural balance without clogging pores or causing unnecessary disruption.

We draw inspiration from time-honoured Asian botanicals and ingredient traditions, pairing them with a Nordic approach to simplicity and design. The result is thoughtful skincare that honours both heritage and function — where every detail serves a purpose.

We believe in doing more with less. Our formulas are streamlined to include only what’s necessary — focusing on well-tolerated ingredients and consistent use over time. Created to support daily care without overcomplicating your routine.

Packaging Matters

  • Our company is dedicated to minimising plastic waste in the beauty industry. To help achieve this, we prioritise the use of glass bottles and jars for our products. Glass is not only highly recyclable but also helps to preserve the integrity of our formulations without the need for additional preservatives. By choosing glass, we reduce the need for single-use plastics, ensuring a more sustainable and eco-friendly approach to packaging.

  • For transparency, we currently use FSC-certified paper for our boxes and source plastic tubes and lids from responsible suppliers. However, we are actively working towards replacing these materials with PCR alternatives in the near future.
